Worcestershire Sauce

Cooking Time : 45 Mins Ingredients: Onion Chopped 1 medium Garlic Crushed 2 cloves Ginger chopped 1 tsp Yellow Mustard 3 tbsp Black Pepper 1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes 1/2 tsp Cinnamon 1" stick Cloves 1 tsp Cardamom 3 - 4 Vinegar (Balsamic, Malt) 2 cups Molasses 1/2 cup Dark Soya Sauce 1/2 Cup Tamarind Pulp 1/4 Cup Salt 3 tbsp |
Preparation:
1. In a large sauce pan, add all ingredients except salt. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer for 40 to 45 minutes. 2. Mix in the salt and 1/2 cup water. Remove the contents from saucepan into a glass or stainless steel container. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 2 -3 weeks, mixing occasionally. 3. After 2 -3 weeks, strain the sauce and pack in a closed container. 4. Refrigerate and use as & when required. |
Note : If you are unable to find molasses, jaggery can be used.
