Chicken Tikka

Marination Time : 2 hours Cooking Time : 15 Mins Makes 3 – 4 portions Ingredients: Boneless Chicken Legs 400 gms Yoghurt 50 gms Ginger Paste 20 gms Garlic Paste 20 gms Red Chilli Powder ½ tsp Turmeric Powder ½ tsp Lemon Juice 2 tbsp Gram Flour 10 gms Groundnut Oil 3 tbsp Black Pepper Powder ½ tsp Cumin Powder ½ tsp Mace Powder pinch Nutmeg Powder pinch Green Cardamom Powder ½ tsp Salt to taste |
Preparation:
1. Cut each chicken leg in 4 pieces 2. Mix all the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. 3. Add Chicken Pieces to this mixture and mix evenly. 4. Keep aside for 2 – 3 hours (For better results, keep the marinated chicken overnight in the refrigerator). Cooking: 1. Cook in a preheated oven at 180 degree C for 7 to 8 minutes till the chicken is cooked** 2. Cook in a Tandoor(Clay Oven ) for 5 to 6 minutes 3. Cook in a microwave on Combi Mode for 5 to 6 minutes. |
** To check if the chicken is
cooked, insert a knife in the thickest part of meat. If no pink juice oozes
out, the chicken is cooked.
