Barbeque Sauce

Cooking Time : 30 Mins Makes 4 portions Ingredients: Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp Large Onion, Chopped 1 Garlic Cloves, Crushed 2 Tomatoes 400 g Worcestershire Sauce 2 tbsp White Wine Vinegar 1 tbsp Clear Honey 3 tbsp Mustard Powder 1 tsp Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp Paprika 1/2 tsp Thyme a few springs Black Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp Salt to taste |
Preparation:
1. Blanch the tomatoes to peel of the skin 2. In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil. Add onion and garlic and saute till the onions are transparent. 3. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer the sauce, without cover, gently for 15 to 20 minutes. 4. Remove from flame and cool down 5. Blend the ingredients in a food processor to a smooth paste. Pass through the sieve if you want more smoother sauce. 6. Adjust the salt and pepper to your liking and serve hot or cold. |
Note : you can replace wine vinegar with other cooking vinegar.
