Cooking Time : 60 Mins Makes 4 – 6 portions Ingredients: Broken wheat (dalia) 100 gm Mutton (boneless pieces)1/2 kg Onions(Slices) 4 Ginger paste 1/2 tsp Garlic paste 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder 1 tsp Green Chill paste 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Pinch Curds 1 cup Oil 2/3 cup Mint Leaves Few sprigs Lemon Juice 3 tbsp Salt to taste |
Preparation:
1. In a sauce pan, Boil water. Add the broken wheat and cook till very tender. Cool and then grind in a grinder to smooth paste. 2. In a heavy bottom pan, Heat oil. Fry onions till light brown. Remove half of the fried onions. To the remaining half, add Ginger Garlic and Green Chilli Paste and saute for 2 - 3 minutes. 3. Add salt, chilli powder and turmeric and sprinkle a little water and cook for a minute or two. Add meat and saute for some time till the liquids dry up. 4. Whisk the curds lightly and add to the meat. Mix in rapidly till the oil starts seperaing. Add 1/2 cup water and cook till the meat is tender. Dry up any excess water/ juices. 5. Cool and grind the cooked meat. Mix in the ground wheat and cook on medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes. Add the garam masala and lemon juice. 6. Garnish with fried onions, finely chopped green chillies and fresh mint leaves. Serve hot. |
